The primary commitment of the Dean of Students office and all
the other Student Affairs offices is
to support and advise you as you move through your academic and
personal life as a member of the Pomona College community.
Student Affairs is also committed to providing you with the
opportunities to take personal responsibility for your living
and learning at Pomona and beyond. Working closely with
students and faculty, we aim to provide co-curricular and
extra-curricular opportunities for you to further pursue your
intellectual interests, develop leadership skills, create
inclusive and supportive communities on campus, and engage in
meaningful volunteer activities, internship programs, and
community-based work beyond the campus.

resolving difficulties. The deans will listen, advise, counsel,
facilitate, make referrals, and act as liaisons with other
