Prof. Pierre Englebert Pens Op-Ed on African Politics in "The New York Times"
Pierre Englebert, an associate professor of politics who focuses on Africa, writes in a New York Times op-ed that perhaps the solution for troubled nations in Africa would be for a internetional derecognition of the most abusive African nations. He writes in his June 12th article: "For many Africans, 50 years of sovereignty has been an abject failure, reproducing the horrors of colonial-era domination under the guise of freedom. International derecognition of abusive states would be a first step toward real liberation."
