Pomona College Ranked as the Third "Happiest" in the Nation

According to The Daily Beast, Pomona College is third amongst the "100 Happiest Colleges" in the nation. The ranking is based on student opinion on residential halls, nightlife and food, as reported on College Prowler; average graduate indebtedness, freshmen retention, and number of student clubs and organizations, according to U.S. News and World Report data; and percentage of daylight hours that are sunny, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Pomona scored particularly well on low debt, high retention rate and sunny days. Among the other colleges in the Consortium, Claremont McKenna is ranked number one, Harvey Mudd is number five, Scripps is number six, and Pitzer is number 22.
