Federal Stafford Loan Entrance
Counseling
Pomona students borrowing Federal Stafford Loans
must complete
Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling prior to receiving
their first disbursement. This includes first year
students, transfers
(even if you have completed entrance counseling at
another college), returning students borrowing their
first Stafford loan, and students returning from a
leave of absence.
Federal Perkins Entrance Counseling
Pomona students borrowing Federal Perkins Loans must
complete
Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling prior to receiving
their first disbursement. This includes first year
students, transfers (even
if you have completed entrance counseling at another
college), returning students borrowing their first Perkins
loan, and Perkins borrowers returning from a leave
of absence.
Federal Stafford Exit Counseling
Pomona College students who have borrowed Federal
Stafford loans and are graduating, taking a leave of
absence, or enrolled at Pomona College less than
half time must complete
Stafford Loan Exit
Counseling.
Perkins and College Loan Exit Counseling
Pomona College students who have borrowed Federal
Perkins Loans or Pomona College Loans are required
to complete separate loan exit counseling. The
Student Loan Administrator in the Business Office of
Alexander Hall, coordinates the loan exit counseling
for Perkins and College Loans. The Student Loan
Office receives electronic notification that you have
fulfilled the
exit counseling requirement for College and Perkins
loans. If you have any questions regarding
College and Perkins exit counseling, please contact
