Employment Eligibility not restricted to Financial
Aid recipients
Although
most colleges offer campus jobs only to students who receive
financial aid, Pomona College has for many years offered
jobs to all students without regard to financial
circumstances. Beginning in 2009 -2010 some changes will be
made in this policy in response to current economic
pressures. Students on financial aid will receive the same
work allocations granted to students in their class, and the
amount will appear on their financial aid awards. Students
who are not on financial aid or do not receive a work
allotment as part of their financial aid award will be
authorized to earn up to $1000. We expect to enforce these
limits, so students are urged to plan their work schedules
for the academic year accordingly. You will receive
notification from the financial aid office when you are
within $300 of your work allotment. Although requests for
allotment increases may be submitted to the financial aid
office in extenuating circumstances, we cannot guarantee
that such requests will be granted.
