Senior Class Gift
Each year, the Senior Class gives a gift to Pomona in an effort to help maintain the Sagehen quality of life and education that we have experienced and want our fellow students to continue to experience.
Formally introduced by the Class of 1894 with a donation of library books, the Senior Class Gift is an opportunity for us to give back to Pomona College to say thank you for the amazing academic environment, facilities, programs, and overall enriching community from which we have benefited.
What most of us do not realize is that a student paying full tuition (in other words, receiving NO financial aid) is actually covering only two-thirds of the cost of attending Pomona. The remaining third comes from a variety of sources, including the Senior Class Gift through the Annual Fund. Thus, every student receives a "hidden subsidy," whether or not they receive financial aid.
Additionally, Senior Gift funds also support academic departments and programs as well as student life services and organizations.
By giving to the Senior Class Gift, we are saying "thank you" for the many life-shaping educational opportunities Pomona has opened up to us and ensuring that those who follow in our path to Pomona will receive the same high quality of education.
