Students Resume Guide
The purpose of your resume is to earn an interview. Submitting a
well-organized, error-free resume can make all the difference. As you begin
drafting your resume remember these important basics:
- Keep your resume to one page
- Use an easy-to-read font (not smaller than 10 pt.)
- Don't use less than a .5" margin
- Include but don't limit yourself to education, work/internship experience,
skills and activities (you don't have to include everything you've ever done)
Following these step-by-step instructions will help you to create your resume
draft. Once you have completed your draft, be sure to bring your resume into the
CDO during Walk-In Advising to have it reviewed.
