What Is a Fellowship and
Where Do I Find Them?
Fellowships, scholarships, and grants provide money and
other forms of support for study, research, special employment experiences, and
special projects. Some funding programs support only certain subject areas, or
schools, or geographic areas. Sponsors may also stipulate such eligibility
criteria as ethnicity, age, or gender.
In the Career Development Office alumni can access the CDO Resource Library,
which offers a variety of books and publications providing information on
researching and applying for fellowships. Our
extensive database containing hundreds of fellowships and scholarships listings
can be searched on .
Those listed below are among the most selective and
competitive. Alumni can go to CDO
Site-ings for links to additional fellowship and scholarship online
resources, and can visit the
Graduate Fellowships
Office website. Many of the fellowships listed on this site offer
eligibility after college graduation.
