The 2010 Commencement weekend will take place Friday, May 14, through Sunday, May 16, 2010.
It's never too early to mark your calendar for Commencement Weekend.
Pomona’s commencement activities traditionally take place
over the course of three days. Highlights include:
--
The Claremont Colleges Baccalaureate Service - an
inter-faith program to which all are welcome in Garrison
Theatre-- The Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony -
seniors who will be installed are notified just prior to
spring break.
-- Class Day, culminating in the
celebratory Evening of Music and Art, featuring the Glee
Club in Little Bridges and the Senior Art Show in the Pomona
College Museum of Art with refreshments in the Carolyn Lyon
Garden.
-- The Commencement Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 16,
2010
on Marston Quadrangle followed by a reception on the lawn.
Since all of the Claremont Colleges have graduation on the
same weekend, accommodations for out-of-town guests are
sometimes scarce. It is best to make reservations early.
On this Website is a
directory of
hotels and motels within a 12-mile radius of the campus. To
make reservations, please deal directly with the hotels.
Although many people in many offices play a role in
Commencement Weekend, plans for the event are coordinated
through the President’s Office. If you have questions of any
sort, please get in touch with Teresa Shaw who will do her
best to provide answers. You can reach her in the
President’s Office at (909) 621-8131 or at
teresa.shaw@pomona.edu.
