The Associate Dean administers a limited budget to support
faculty-sponsored student travel to research conferences. Students may apply to the
Associate Dean for partial support for travel to professional
conferences if the student is first author or second author to a
faculty member on a research presentation. Requests are
accepted throughout the year; because funding is limited, apply
early. Grants range from $200 to $800 and may be applied to
travel, room and board and/or registration expenses. To
request reimbursement after travel, students must submit a completed
Travel Expense
Report, original receipts, and boarding
passes within one month of returning from the
conference. The Travel Expense Report should be reviewed by
the appropriate Academic Department Coordinator prior to
being submitted to Sandra Fenton, Alexander 225, for payment
authorization.
For more
information and an
application form, please contact Associate Dean
Cynthia Selassie,
Alexander 226. Additional support to enable students to
attend professional conferences often comes from departmental funds.
