OEC Certification

Want to graduate with an outdoor leader certification from the OEC? Or possibly you just want to take some amazing outdoor skills classes and workshops?
The OEC offers 3 levels of certification. Those with a Level 3 Certification will not only be completing professional trainings but also helping teach many of the OEC workshops. Below is a snapshot of the requirements for each level of certification.

Level 1 Certification

• Introduction to Group Dynamics
• Introduction to Wilderness Travel

Medical Training (1)

• Wilderness Medicine Workshop (WMW) or Higher

Experience (2)

• Co-lead 2 trips

 

Level 2 Certification

• Beginning Rock Climbing
• Wilderness Survival
• Beginning Backpacking

OEC Workshops

• Intro Kayaking
• LNT Awareness
• Winter Mountaineering
• Orienteering (map/compass)

• Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or Higher

Experience (4)

• Co-lead 4 trips
