Programs for 2006
Spain Walking Tour
May 18–30, 2006
 Explore Spain of the Conquistadores with a spring walking tour through
southwestern Spain led by History Professor Ken Wolf. Trace the history
of the adventurers, beginning with Columbus and the towns associated
with his preparations and voyages. Follow indirectly the “route of
silver,” the ancient Roman road which leads from the monopolistic
reception house of the new wealth in Seville to the great cities of Castille. Cost: $6,475.*
Heart of Germany by Riverboat
August 1–15, 2006
Join President David Oxtoby on a cruise from Passau to Mainz through the
Heart of Germany
on a 5-star river boat with visits to Munich and Heidelberg. Along the
way visit medieval towns
with vineyard-covered and castle-crowned hills of exceptional charm and
beauty. Cost: $5,261.*
Best of the Bay: The Essence of Northern California
Oct. 23–30, 2006
Visit Sacramento, Napa Valley, San Francisco, Sonoma and Sausalito on
the 138-passenger M/V Yorktown Clipper. Master chefs from the Bay Area
will be onboard as guest chefs, and two days will be spent in the Napa
Valley wine-producing region. Cost: $2,283–$3,783.*
