Plug into some great music at Disney Concert Hall.
One of Los Angeles’ most notable and popular feats of architecture has
only been open for a year. Since October 2003, the Walt Disney Concert
Hall, designed by architects Frank Gehry and Yasuhisa Toyota, has been
wowing the public with its wavy steel exterior designed to resemble a
ship with sail at full mast. “Everybody should know by now that the
Disney Concert Hall is a world-renowned venue,” says Karl Kohn, emeritus
professor of music and composer in residence. “And the L.A. Phil is one
of the best in the country, so it should be pretty obvious that this
place is on the list.”
