The ease of incorporating classes from the other Claremont Colleges into
a concentration varies from program to program;
in some majors, only a few electives may be substituted for Pomona
courses, while others have coordinated offerings with
the other colleges. In any case, cross-registration classes may fulfill up to
one-third of the total of 32 courses necessary for
graduation, and are frequently taken as elective courses. All General
Education work must be done through classes taught at
Pomona.
First-semester freshmen take all of their classes at Pomona. In
the second semester of the freshman year and
during the sophomore year, students may cross register for one class per
term. After that, they may take up to two courses
in any term at colleges other than Pomona.
