A Class Web Page
can be a great help in the months leading up to the class
reunion.
Many reunion classes use their pages to list the classmates
who have registered for reunion events, so that others can
see who will be at
Alumni Weekend.
Along with Class Mailing
Lists, a basic web page can generate excitement
about the event.
Classes wishing to create a web page have two options:
Option 1: At no charge, the College can host a few
basic pages for the class in the Pomona web. Changes and
additions are submitted through the Alumni Office, though
limited staffing prevents us from handling repairs to the
site.
A volunteer must be designated to create and maintain the
web pages. See further details under "Class Web Page Policies"
below.
Option 2:
Some classes may want to create a larger
Website, one that perhaps will live on as a way for
classmates to connect well beyond the reunion. In these
cases, the organizers use an off-site host (which can be
found at a reasonable price) and we'll create a link on our
site.

Pomona College will provide space for Class Web Pages. It is important to note
the following:
- Each class will have to designate a volunteer to create and update their
Class Web Page. This volunteer must have web page development knowledge, must have a computer
and access to e-mail to submit updates for the web page. The volunteer will
develop their Class Web Page in HTML format on their own computer.
- To update pages, send all HTML and graphics files to the Alumni Relations
Office (alumni@pomona.edu). A staff member will
then load the pages to the live Web. The volunteer will NOT have
direct access to maintain the Class Web Pages in real time.
- All efforts will be made to post updates within two (2) working days of
when they are received. Also note that updates will be posted in the condition
in which they are received, so make sure to proof the update, as well as the
links contained in it before sending them.
- On the Class Web Page, be sure to provide links to the
Pomona College Alumni homepage (www.pomona.edu/alumni) and the
Alumni Weekend homepage (www.pomona.edu/ADWR/alumni/events/alumniweekend/).
- The Alumni Weekend Web site will have links to all Class Web Pages so that
alumni can find information about their class reunion.
