Linda
Wight Mazur is now chief cook and bottle washer for the Mazur family -- husband
Stephen and children David (9) and Laura (8) -- in Valley Village, California.
In her spare time, Linda has made a career of volunteering, currently serving as
Treasurer of the Oakwood School Parent Organization, Governor of the Valley
Community Clinic, At-Large Director of the Conference of California Bar
Associations, and Purchasing Manager for the AYSO Region 58 Snack Bar. Hobbies?
Not lately!
A 1984 graduate of UCLA Law School, Linda practiced in Beverly Hills until 2000
with the law firm of Turner, Aubert & Friedman, LLC (partner Edward Friedman is
also a Pomona alum) where she worked on a wide variety of transactional and
business litigation matters. In 1998-99 she served as President of the Beverly
Hills Bar Association and in 2006 she chaired the 72nd Annual “Conference of
Delegates” at the Annual Meeting of the State Bar of California.
Linda graduated from Pomona College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Literature. While at Pomona, she participated in the band, choir, and in dance
and drama productions. She also spent a memorable semester abroad on a field
tutorial in Berlin.
